### Do PLCs need CE marking?

Yes. PLCs sold as standalone products need CE marking under EMC, LVD, and RoHS. If integrated into machinery, the machinery certification may cover the PLC, but standalone PLCs require their own CE marking.

### What about industrial environment EMC?

Industrial environments have different EMC requirements than residential. Products for industrial use must meet EN 61000-6-2 for immunity and EN 61000-6-4 for emissions. These are less stringent than residential standards.

### Do control panels need CE marking?

Control panels assembled from certified components may still need CE marking as a system. The panel as a whole must comply with EMC and LVD requirements. Document component compliance and system-level testing.

### Are there special requirements for industrial automation?
