## Frequently asked questions

### What is Prior Notice for food imports?

Prior Notice is advance intimation to FSSAI about incoming food shipments. Must be filed 24-48 hours before arrival at port. Contains: product details, quantity, manufacturer, country of origin, importer details. Failure to file may result in inspection delays.

### Can I sell imported food online without FSSAI license?

No. E-commerce operators and sellers must display FSSAI license number on platform. Platform is responsible for ensuring sellers have valid licenses. Selling without license attracts penalties and platform delisting.

### What is the difference between Best Before and Use By date?
