Technical File Review
Have your technical file checked before anyone else checks it
A technical file is usually assembled at the end of a project, by whoever has time, from documents written months apart. It is also the first thing a market surveillance authority, an Amazon compliance team or a notified body asks for — and they read it far more carefully than the person who put it together.
The common failures are mundane: a declaration citing a superseded standard, a risk assessment that doesn't cover the shipped configuration, test reports for a sample that no longer matches production. Each one is quick to fix before a request arrives and costly after.
The review gives you an independent read of the file in five business days, with every finding tied to the requirement behind it. Fix it yourselves, or have us do it and the fee comes off the engagement.
What you receive
- A line-by-line review of your technical file against what the market's legislation requires
- Every missing, outdated or inconsistent document, with the legal or standard reference behind it
- A check that the Declaration of Conformity cites the right legislation and current standards
- A check that test reports match the product configuration you actually ship
- A prioritised fix list your own team can work through

Common questions
Is the fee credited?
Yes. If you start a Market Launch, Multi-Market Launch, India Market Launch or CRA Programme within 60 days of the review, the full $350 comes off it.
What if I need more than one market reviewed?
Each market is a separate review, since each has its own legislation and documents. For two or more markets, the Compliance Assessment is usually the better starting point.
Do you fix the file as well?
The review tells you exactly what to fix and why. If you'd rather we do it, we'll quote that as a fixed-price follow-on.
Is this a certification?
No. It is an independent engineering review. It doesn't replace a notified body's assessment where one is required, or test evidence from an accredited lab.
